Automatic Powder Coating Line for Long Metal Shelves


Customized Powder Coating System with 13.5-Meter Hangers

This automatic powder coating production line is specially engineered for long metal shelves and similar large fabricated components. The system is equipped with 13.5-meter-long hangers, allowing oversized shelf products to be transported safely and efficiently throughout the coating process.

The powder spray booth is manufactured from durable PP (polypropylene) material, providing excellent chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and long service life in industrial coating environments.

For powder application, the line combines automatic electrostatic spray guns with manual touch-up stations. Automatic spraying provides efficient and repeatable coating on the main surfaces, while manual application allows operators to cover corners, recessed areas, joints, and other difficult-to-reach sections.

Power and Free Conveyor System

Powder Coating Process

1. Surface Cleaning and Preparation

Before coating, metal components must be properly cleaned to remove oil, grease, dust, fabrication residues, and other surface contaminants.

Effective surface preparation provides a clean substrate for subsequent chemical treatment and helps improve coating adhesion and long-term finishing performance.

2. Pretreatment

After cleaning, the workpieces undergo a suitable pretreatment process according to the substrate material and required corrosion resistance.

The process may include several cleaning, rinsing, and conversion-treatment stages. The exact pretreatment configuration is selected according to the product material, operating environment, and required coating performance.

3. Drying

Following pretreatment, residual moisture is removed before powder spraying.

4. Electrostatic Powder Application

The prepared workpieces enter the powder spray booth, where electrostatically charged powder is applied to grounded metal surfaces.

Finished products can be inspected according to the applicable coating requirements.
