Product Description
Automated Powder Coating Production Line

Fully Automated Powder Coating Solution for Metal Components

This automated powder coating production line is designed for high-quality surface finishing of metal components across a wide range of industries. The system integrates spray pretreatment, automated electrostatic powder coating, curing, cooling, and material handling into one continuous production process, ensuring high productivity, stable coating quality, and long-term operational reliability.

The production line features a stainless steel spray pretreatment system, robotic powder spraying equipment, an overhead conveyor system, high-efficiency curing ovens, and an intelligent control system. It can be customized to accommodate different workpiece sizes, production capacities, and factory layouts.

Key Features

  • Stainless steel spray pretreatment system with excellent corrosion resistance

  • Automated electrostatic powder spraying using robotic spray guns

  • Efficient powder recovery system to reduce material consumption

  • Overhead conveyor system for continuous material handling

  • High-efficiency curing and cooling sections

  • Flexible configuration for various metal components

  • Stable production with consistent coating quality

Integrated Pretreatment System

Before powder coating, workpieces pass through a multi-stage spray pretreatment process designed to ensure excellent coating adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Typical pretreatment stages include:

  • Pre-rinsing

  • Degreasing

  • Chemical cleaning

  • Phosphating or conversion coating

  • Multi-stage rinsing

  • Drying

The pretreatment system effectively removes oil, grease, dust, and other contaminants while preparing the substrate for high-performance powder coating.

Automated Powder Coating

The powder coating section utilizes robotic spray guns to provide accurate and repeatable electrostatic powder application.

Combined with an efficient powder recovery system, the process offers:

  • Uniform coating thickness

  • High transfer efficiency

  • Reduced powder waste

  • Consistent finish quality

  • Excellent coverage of complex geometries

Material Handling System

An overhead conveyor system transports workpieces smoothly through every production stage, including pretreatment, drying, powder coating, curing, cooling, and unloading.

The conveyor system provides:

  • Continuous production flow

  • Stable workpiece transportation

  • Optimized workshop space utilization

  • Flexible production scheduling

Powder Coating Process

1. Surface Preparation

Workpieces are cleaned to remove oil, grease, dust, and other contaminants, ensuring excellent coating adhesion.

2. Pretreatment

Chemical pretreatment improves corrosion resistance and coating performance. Depending on product requirements, the process may include:

  • Degreasing

  • Chemical cleaning

  • Phosphating

  • Chromate or chrome-free conversion coating

3. Drying

After pretreatment, the workpieces pass through a drying oven to eliminate residual moisture before coating.

4. Electrostatic Powder Application

Automatic electrostatic spray guns apply powder evenly to grounded workpieces. The charged powder particles provide uniform coverage and high transfer efficiency.

5. Powder Curing

The coated parts enter a curing oven where controlled heating melts and chemically cross-links the powder, forming a durable and corrosion-resistant coating.

6. Cooling

Following curing, the workpieces are cooled under controlled conditions to stabilize the coating and maintain its mechanical and aesthetic properties.

7. Quality Inspection

Finished products are inspected to verify:

  • Coating thickness

  • Surface appearance

  • Adhesion performance

  • Overall coating quality

Only qualified products proceed to packaging or downstream production processes.
