Product Description

Automatic Powder Coating Line for Iron Electrical Control Cabinets

Designed for Electrical Cabinet Manufacturing

This automatic powder coating line is engineered for the surface finishing of iron electrical control cabinets, enclosure panels, and fabricated sheet metal assemblies. Designed to deliver consistent coating quality and reliable production performance, the system combines automated powder application with manual touch-up stations to ensure complete coverage of complex cabinet structures.

The production line utilizes a suspended overhead conveyor system for continuous material handling, making it suitable for both mass production and flexible manufacturing.

Integrated Powder Coating System

The line incorporates multiple processing stages into one continuous production workflow, including:

  • Manual loading

  • Spray pretreatment

  • Drying

  • Automatic powder coating

  • Manual touch-up

  • Powder curing

  • Cooling

  • Manual unloading

Each process is carefully coordinated to maximize production efficiency while maintaining stable coating quality.

Production Workflow

Workpieces are loaded onto the overhead conveyor with elevator-assisted manual loading. During pretreatment, the conveyor indexes through each spray station, allowing cleaning and chemical treatment to be completed individually.

After moisture removal, the cabinets enter the automatic powder coating booth, where workpieces travel continuously at approximately 1.5 m/min. Automatic spray guns provide uniform coating coverage, while manual operators perform additional spraying on corners, recessed areas, and other difficult-to-coat sections.

The coated workpieces then pass through the curing oven, followed by natural cooling before reaching the unloading station, where elevator-assisted manual unloading is completed.

Equipment Features

  • PP Powder Spray Booth: The spray booth is manufactured from high-quality polypropylene (PP), providing excellent corrosion resistance, chemical durability, and easy maintenance for long-term industrial operation.
  • Automatic & Manual Powder Application

The combination of automatic electrostatic spraying and manual touch-up ensures:

    • Uniform coating thickness

    • Excellent edge coverage

    • Complete coating of complex cabinet structures

    • Improved surface appearance

    • Reduced powder waste

    • Suspended Conveyor System

The overhead conveyor provides reliable transportation throughout the production process while optimizing factory floor space. Its stable operation supports continuous production and simplifies workpiece handling.

Powder Coating Process

  1. Surface Preparation: Before coating, cabinet components are thoroughly cleaned to remove oil, dust, welding residue, and other contaminants, creating an ideal surface for powder adhesion.
  2. Chemical Pretreatment: Pretreatment may include degreasing, phosphating, or other conversion coating processes to improve corrosion resistance and strengthen the bond between the substrate and the powder coating.
  3. Drying: Following pretreatment, workpieces are dried completely to eliminate residual moisture before entering the powder coating booth.
  4. Electrostatic Powder Application: Electrostatically charged powder is applied evenly to grounded cabinet surfaces using automatic spray guns, while manual spraying ensures complete coverage of edges, corners, and recessed areas.
  5. Powder Curing: The coated components enter a curing oven where the powder melts, flows, and chemically cross-links into a smooth, impact-resistant, and durable protective coating.
  6. Cooling: Controlled cooling stabilizes the cured coating before the workpieces proceed to unloading.
  7. Final Inspection: Finished cabinets are inspected for coating thickness, surface appearance, adhesion, and overall coating quality to ensure they meet customer specifications.
