The process begins with thorough cleaning and degreasing of the aluminum profiles. This step removes oils, dust, and contaminants, ensuring strong powder adhesion and preventing coating defects.
After cleaning, the profiles undergo pre-treatment to enhance adhesion and corrosion resistance. Depending on requirements, this may include chemical cleaning, phosphating, or chromate conversion coating. These treatments optimize surface condition and improve coating performance.
Profiles are then conveyed through a drying oven to remove residual moisture. A fully dried surface is essential for uniform powder deposition and long-term coating durability.
Electrostatically charged powder particles are sprayed onto the grounded aluminum surfaces using specialized powder guns. This ensures even distribution and uniform coverage across all profile surfaces, including corners and complex geometries.
Coated profiles enter a curing oven, where controlled heating melts and cross-links the powder particles. This forms a hardened and continuous film with excellent mechanical strength and chemical resistance.
After curing, the products are cooled to stabilize the coating film. Proper cooling helps maintain gloss, color consistency, and overall surface quality.
A final inspection verifies coating thickness, adhesion strength, visual appearance, and overall finish quality. Only products that meet the required specifications proceed to packing or further processing.
